Assist hooks are hooks that you attach to the lures with leads; typically made of multifilmanet, wire monofilament or other similar material. These hooks have become wildly popular with vertical jigs and are also being increasingly used with plugs in place of traditional treble hooks.

The Armoured Assist Hook has a strong VMC black nickel hook attached to an armoured “bullet-proof” material. Along with it is a protection tube to prevent it from chafing. It also has a split ring that allows fast change out, and avoid tangling around the leader.
