This week's location is all about fishing near Moutohora Island and Kawau Island... Spot 1: 37°51.259'S, 176°57.352'E
The waters around Whale Island is always reliable for Snapper fishing with the occaissional XOS model coming through. Use plenty of burley and fish the change of light.
Spot 2: 36°23.570'S, 174°51.528'E
Need livies for the Kings? The end of Fairchild Reef has a good number of Jack Macs. Keep an eye out for Trevally that are regularly in the area.
17th February 2014
This week's location is all about fishing near Motukumara Rock and Rotorua Island... Spot 1: 35°14.100'S, 174°18.876'E
This dive spot along the Rawhiti peninsula is a fantastic spot for spearos to get good sized Kingies and Cray.
Spot 2: 36°49.618'S, 175°12.040'E
This time of year you are guaranteed a feed of Snapper at this small passage below Rotorua Island in the Hauraki gulf.

This week's location is all about fishing near Dairy Bay and Channel Island... Spot 1: 36°30.301'S, 174°44.058'E
Sadler Point is perfect for shallow-water Kingfish. Use either livebait or Rapala.
Spot 2: 36°25.250'S, 175°19.815'E
Channel Island is very hot at the moment with large numbers of Snapper schools moving through; softbait and slow jigs are both firing.

This week's location is all about fishing near Lizard Isle and St. Mary's Bay... Spot 1: 35°54.672'S, 175°06.682'E
The Mokohinau Island is renowned for large Snapper and Kingfish. Spearos often report large schools of Kings here. Grab your livie or jig set and head out there!
Spot 2: 36°49.868'S, 174°44.654'E
Just under the Waitemata Harbour bridge is where we've been hearing people catching good pannies. Others that are heading out wide are having less luck.
27th January 2014
This week's location is all about fishing near Motuora Island and Maria Island... Spot 1: 36°29.778'S, 174°48.131'E
This pinnacle on the northern side of Motuora island can hold some very good Snapper. Be prepared though 'cause the odd Kingfish is known to patrol this area too.
Spot 2: 36°42.731'S, 174°59.516'E
Auckland's Zeno rock is a great place to target large Snapper without having to travel too far. Best in a NW wind, this spot is perfect when using large paddle tail soft baits to entice those big Snapper with.
20th January 2014
This week's location is all about fishing near Onetangi Bay and Kawau Island... Spot 1: 36°46.529'S 175°05.037'E
The mussel farms in the Waiheke Channel are fishing well now, use lots of berley and strayline squid or pillies with little weight for a good haul of pannie Snapper.
Spot 2: 36°23.041'S 174°51.562'E
The Kingies are at Maori Rock. Slow troll a livie with a little weight or throw a stickbait around the wash; fishes best mid tide.

This week's location is all about fishing near Westhaven and Grey Group Islands... Spot 1: 36°49.895'S 174°45.258'E
Just under the bridge in Waitemata Harbour is where we've been hearing people getting pan-size Snapper. Our staff member Alex got a nice 12kg Kingie here too.
Spot 2: 36°11.070'S 175°17.535'E
If you're heading to Great Barrier for a short break, be sure to take a dive here for some Crayfish.

This week's location is all about fishing near Pihakoa Point and Waihi Beach... Spot 1: 34°49.271'S, 173°27.187'E
Live baits work best at Pihakoa Point for Kingfish. Big Snapper are known to take livies here too.
Spot 2: 37°24.280'S, 175°56.707'E
If you like Garnard then Waihi Beach is the spot to note. Lots of burley is required to draw the big ones in.

This week's location is all about fishing near Stanley Point and Wareware Island... Spot 1: 36°49.818'S, 174°46.268'E
Snapper fishing has been red hot at Stanley Point with reports of good sizes and rat Kings.
Spot 2: 35°52.954'S, 174°41.430'E
Late last week we heard that a monster 37kg Kingie was caught at Wareware Island with plenty of signs of more.

This week's location is all about fishing near Hikurangi and Maunganui Bay... Spot 1: 34'49.479'S, 176'24.527'E
Matai Bay is a great spot to spear from. There's a wide range of fish to target and cray to catch.

Grab your dive gear and head to Deep Water Cove to get yourself some fresh scallops.

This week's location is all about fishing near Jackson Bay Rocks and Cavali Islands... Spot 1: 36°28.106'S, 175°20.507'E
Cape Coville is great for both land-based missions and boat fishing. Tides run quite quick here so best to take along some heavy sinkers.
Spot 2: 34°57.820'S, 173°59.022'E
Takeke Rock often holds Hapuka and Kingies. Pick up some of our puka flashers on special and give them a go out here

This week's location is all about fishing near Kawau Island and Mauitaha Island... Spot 1: 36°23.237'S, 174°52.664'E
Slaster Point had a structure rise from 23 to 16 metres. It often produces good-sized Snapper and if you're keen to dive it, then Crays are here too.
Spot 2: 35°50.165'S, 174°35.598'E
Bream Head has a very weedy bottom. Fish all the drop-offs and gutters. Great spot for Snapper.
2nd December 2013
This week's location is all about fishing near Takirau Bay and Kawau Island... Spot 1: 36°48.547'S 175°00.832'E
Head out South of Rocky Bay this weekend for good sized Snapper. Bait and burley are recommended for this spot
Spot 2: 36°25.843'S 175°07.872'E
The Kingies are in and Anchorite Rock is the place to get them. Take safety gear as it's an exposed area and the weather can turn fast.

This week's location is all about fishing near Urupukapuka Island and Rangitoto Island... Spot 1: 35°12.821'S, 174°14.528'E
Urupukapuka Island is great during summer for producing good size cray fish.
Spot 2: 36°45.885'S, 174°50.659'E
Most people cruise right past a bouy on their way to the nosies or out to the worm beds. We have often dropped a line here for a quick fish after work and have produced pan-sized Snapper and the old rat king for a good fight.

This week's location is all about fishing near Mayor Island and Tiritiri Matangi Island... Spot 1: 37°17.012'S, 176°18.208'E
West of Mayor Island is a great spot for slow and speed jigging as it comes up from 100m to 36m. Often found here are large Snapper and reasonable-sized Kingies.
Spot 2: 36°35.120'S, 174°53.359'E
North of Tiritiri Matangi Island has been producing great results as of late so we've decided to put down one of our personal spots for everyone to enjoy. Cut bait works best here with lots of surface and ground burley.

This week's location is all about fishing near Browns Bay and Whananaki... Spot 1: 36°42.687'S 174°45.892'E
Browns Bay Reef has good shallow water straylining territory. Go for light tackle around change of light for best results.
Spot 2: 35°30.525'S 174°30.111'E
Elizabeth Reef is great for Snapper and Kingies. Strayline for Snapper or drift a livie around the edge of the reef for Kingfish.

Motukaraka Island - we’re hearing great results coming from this spot. Great spot to catch good sized snapper for dinner.

Simpson Rock - Grab your jigging set and head here to spend a bit of time hunting down those spring kings.

This week’s location is all about fishing near Wattle Bay and Owhanake Island... Spot 1: 37Â°02.140’S, 174Â°34.181’E
The spot by the number 4 bouy is ideal for Snapper but bringing lots of berley is also recommended; Mullet is a good choice to use here.
Spot 2: 36Â°46.120’S, 174Â°58.996’E
Try your luck drifting through the Motuihe and Motukorea channel as we’ve heard good reports close in.

This week’s location is all about fishing near Whangarei and Motiti Island... Spot 1: 35Â°53.860’S, 175Â°03.274’E
You’ll find Grouper Island west of the Mokohinau island. This is an awesome spot for Hapuka and Kingfish.

Grab your dive gear and shoot out to Motiti Island. You’ll find scallops and cray here.

Try out your jigging set at Astrolabe Reef. Big snapper have been known to take jigs.

This week’s location is all about fishing near Firth of Thames and Coppermine Island... Spot 1: 36Â°50.457’S 175Â°23.915’E Just SE of Te Kouma is a great spot for Snapper with a good chance of Kingfish action on a livie.
Spot 2: 5Â°52.932’S 174Â°47.225’E
Go to Bream Bay, along the 30m mark, and keep an eye out for bird or surface activity.

This week’s location is all about fishing near Moanarua Island and Motuora Island... Spot 1: 35Â°20.612’S, 174Â°23.729’E
The Danger Rock is a fantastic place to dive and to put a cray or two on your plate.
Spot 2: 36Â°29.435’S, 174Â°49.491’E
The NE of Motuora is a great spot to grab a Snapper. Also keep an eye out for work up in the area.

This week’s location is all about fishing near Urupukapuka Island and Waimate Island... Spot 1: 35Â°13.412’S, 174Â°14.569’E
The Albert Channel is a great spot for beginners to start out the scallop season. There are often plenty of scallops found here. Depth is around 12m.
Spot 2: 36Â°45.455’S, 175Â°24.331’E
Scallops are found at the base approximately 18m down of the Waimate Reef. If you work your way back up through the kelp and rocks, you can find crayfish here too.
26th August 2013
This week’s location is all about fishing near Mauitaha Island and Cecilia Sudden Bay... Spot 1: 35°50.147’S, 174°36.130’E Target Bream Rock with your jig set as kingfish and large snapper are around.
Spot 2: 36°20.183’S, 175°28.621’E You don’t have to go far to find snapper at Cecilia Sudden Bay. Plenty of burley and pilchards are best here at the moment.
19th August 2013
This week’s location is all about fishing near Tauranga and Kawau Bay... Spot 1: 37°31.269’S, 176°19.045’E Pudney Rock is a great spot to find snapper and kingfish. Tarakihi are often found here too. Take your speed jigging gear and try jigging over the pin on high tide.
Spot 2: 36°25.054’S, 174°47.700’E Shot out to Rabbit Island to pick up a mid-winter snapper for dinner. Bait is working best at the moment and don’t forget your burley too.
5th August 2013
This week’s location is all about fishing near Stephens Island and Rakino Island... Spot 1: 40°41.314’S, 173°58.099’E Marlborough Sounds is a great spot to try if you want a few Kingfish. Live baiting under a baloon normally does the trick.
Spot 2: 36°42.731’S, 174°59.516’E The rock behind Rakino Island holds snapper year round so take some berley out with you and strayline into it. Make sure you put pressure on the fish early to prevent them from taking you to the kept.
