Game-changing combo built for heavy-duty performance
When you're out chasing big game, you need gear that won't blink under pressure. The PENN Fathom II 80 Ocean Assassin II Game Combo is a powerhouse setup designed to take the fight to the ocean's toughest predators. Built for serious anglers, this combo pairs the ultra-reliable, braid-ready Fathom II 80 2-speed lever drag reel with the crisp, responsive action of an Ocean Assassin II game rod. It's the perfect, high-performance solution for those who demand stopping power without the bulk of outdated gear.
The Reel
The PENN Fathom II 80 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel is the ultimate workhorse for anglers who demand reliability when battling trophy-sized fish. Engineered with a one-piece aluminium frame and sideplates, this reel provides the exceptional structural rigidity needed to handle the intense pressures of heavy-duty saltwater game fishing. Its compact design feels great in the hand, while the stainless steel main and pinion gears ensure you've got the internal durability to stand up to the most stubborn catch.
When you're out on the water, you need gear that reacts as fast as you do. The Quick-Shift II 2-speed system lets you drop into low gear instantly to winch fish from the depths, while the 22.7kg (maximum) drag, managed by the smooth Dura-Drag system, ensures there's no hesitation during the fight. The Pull-to-Turn preset knob eliminates accidental changes to the drag, allowing you to truly set it, and forget it. Featuring line capacity rings for easy depth awareness and a 5-bearing system for ultra-smooth operation, the PENN Fathom II 80 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel is a must-have for your next big offshore mission. Grab yours today!
The Rod
Looking to start off your fishing day with excellent odds? It all boils down to the quality of your gear and the PENN Ocean Assassin II OH Runner Game Rod fits the bill, without straining your budget. It's built with quality Fuji and PACBAY componentry and features PENN's SLC2 construction with improved action and crisper blank. Feel how different the Ocean Assassin is from clunky, outdated rods with its thinner diameter and physically lighter but tougher blanks.
