These cowl ventilators are made of silicone. Silicone rubber is a very flexible synthetic material with a service temperature range between -100 degrees C and +200 degrees C. It is resistant to UV light and does not discolour, so it will always looks like it's brand new. The cowl ventilators are removable and can be rotated after loosening the knurled base ring by hand. The ring nuts and mating deck flanges are made of hard plastic and the internal colour is red (RAL3020). A Monel mosquito screen and a stainless steel (AISI 316) cover plate for closing off the cowl ventilator can be supplied as an option. Type S has a screwed down synthetic ring. Guaranteed to withstand the test of time!
