The design of the cams eases the insertion of the rope and prevents the latter from being torn thanks to the rounded edges. The stainless steel springs are of a new conception and have been tested on more than 50,000 openings. Don't tighten the screws down too hard. Ball bearing cam cleats should be washed regularly with fresh water.
