Electric power in a compact package
Electric power meets a rod that packs away easily in the 22 Tanacom 1200AJ / Eliminator II Drone 803 - Fuji set. It pairs the reengineered Tanacom 1200 AJ power assist reel with a 5ft 6in three-piece overhead rod, ready to get baits down deep. A benchmark for quality and value for money in the electric reel space.
The Reel
There's arguably no name more famous in the electric dendoh reel category than Tanacom, and the Daiwa 22 Tanacom 1200 AJ Power Assist Electric Reel is a totally overhauled version, born from half a decade of research and collaboration between Daiwa Japan, Australia and America. The motor now sits inside the spool, with beefier gears and internal components improving durability and minimising power loss, and the extra power is matched by more speed, which is handy for repositioning or checking baits when deep dropping. A simplified menu system and a brighter Dot Monitor LCD screen with better viewing angles in polarised sunglasses make it easy to use.
The Rod
The Daiwa Eliminator II Drone 803 Overhead Baitcasting Rod features a composite graphite blank with an integrated solid tip for a balance of strength, sensitivity and durability. The 5ft 6in length and three-piece construction make it compact for transport and storage. Aluminium oxide guides help reduce line wear and dissipate heat, while the graphite reel seat securely holds the reel, and flat-top EVA grips provide a comfortable hold.
