General Battery Tips:
Lithium batteries have an automatic circuit inside. This circuit causes the battery to naturally discharge when not in use for a period of time. It's normal for the battery to lose up to 20% of its power, especially during winter months. If it's not used for three months or more, it will need to be recharged.

Lithium Battery Safety Reminders:
Do:
- Use only with power assist electric reels.
- Charge only with the supplied charger.
- Store in a fireproof container/bag when not in use.
- Apply dielectric grease to plug connections each use.
- Recharge if unused for 3 months.
Do Not:
- Heat, burn, or expose to flames.
- Insert foreign objects into battery/connectors.
- Use if damaged, cracked, leaking, or swollen.
- Expose to water or temperatures above 50°C (112°F).
- Drop, crush, puncture, or tamper with the battery.
Warning Signs – Stop Use Immediately:
- Excessive heat
- Swelling or deformation
- Smoke or strong odour
Thermal Runaway (Dangerous Overheating):
- May cause rapid overheating, smoke, fire, or explosion.
- If suspected: move battery to a clear, non-flammable area away from people/materials.
- Call emergency services if fire occurs.
Warranty: The battery only has a 6-month warranty. Standard 12-month warranty applicable for the charging unit only.

Dielectric grease is a non-conductive, silicone-based grease that is commonly used in electrical applications to protect and lubricate electrical connections. It has a high dielectric strength, meaning it can withstand high voltages without conducting electricity. Applying dielectric grease to battery terminals can help prevent corrosion and improve conductivity, which can help extend the life of the battery. When selecting a dielectric grease, it's important to choose one that is compatible with the materials being used, as some greases can cause swelling or degradation of certain materials.
