High-intensity electronic distress signalling for day and night
The ACR ResQFlare PRO Electronic Boat Flare eVDSD is a buoyant electronic visual distress signal device designed to provide highly visible SOS signalling without a pyrotechnic flare. It uses red-orange and cyan LEDs to produce the International Morse Code SOS pattern, with an additional infrared LED signal designed for visibility through night vision equipment.
The ResQFlare PRO automatically rights itself and floats when placed in the water, with 360° visibility and a luminous angle of ≥180°. It has a minimum operating life of three hours and is powered by eight user-replaceable 123 lithium batteries, which are sold separately. The IP67-rated design is waterproof.
Night and Day Visual Distress Signal
The ResQFlare PRO meets RTCM Standard 13200.0 for Electronic Visual Distress Signal Devices (eVDSDs) and provides a visible SOS signal using red-orange and cyan LEDs. An infrared LED simultaneously flashes the same SOS pattern for visibility through night vision equipment.
A daytime Distress Flag is included to provide an additional visual distress signal. The flag can be raised to the highest practical point, displayed by hand or laid flat on the deck to attract attention from aircraft.

The supplied orange Distress Flag features a black square and black circle distress pattern. It can be attached to a mast, displayed by hand or waved using a boat hook, paddle or fishing rod. It can also be laid flat on the deck to attract attention from aircraft. The flag is intended for daytime use.
