The TIMEZERO Pro S-63 Module charts are encrypted charts in the S-57 file format that respect all the standards set by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). “S-63” Refers to the encryption standard under which the charts are protected.
International Standards
S-63 charts respect Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) and Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS) standards listed below:
- S-57 refers to the data format under which the charts are distributed and can be downloaded and shared to license owners
- S-52 refers to the iconography standard under which all the data displayed on the charts appears. It ensures that the charts appear the same way to anyone using them and in a uniform way that doesn’t differ from chart to chart
- S-58 refers to the quality control standard under which the charts are verified before being issued. These checks guarantee that the charts will not cause a chart plotter malfunction and that there are no errors in mapping, scaling etc
TIMEZERO Pro S-63 Module Features:
- S-63 charts are encrypted, this ensures that all the information is 100% correct and approved by the International Marine Organisation
- S-63 charts can only be read by its licensed owners. Thus, the encryption prevents them from being pirated
