A legend on the front of a slow jig rod
Big on looks and big on features, the Daiwa BG16 5000 Demon Blood Boat / Slow Jigging Combo 6ft PE3 40lb teams the aluminium-bodied BG16 5000 with the 6ft, 1-piece Daiwa Demon Blood Solid S60-3 slow jig rod rated PE3 for jigs of 80-220g. It holds 400m of PE4 and puts 10kg of drag behind a blank built to work slow fall jigs properly. Unrivalled in design, performance and quality.
The Reel
After nearly half a century of reliability, the original legend returns. The Daiwa BG16 5000 Spinning Reel is a heavy-duty super reel that starts with Daiwa's legendary Real Four design formula. Real Engine, Real Control, Real Endurance, Real Custom and Real Four combine in a precision machined, corrosion resistant aluminium body, with Digigear II for ultra smooth performance, Air Rotor for strength and rotation, plus ABS II, Twistbuster II and ATD.
The Rod
The Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Spinning Slow Jig Rod is crafted around a 24-ton solid carbon blank wrapped with 30-ton graphite cloth, reinforcing the blank and creating the action you want for slow jigging. The solid blank is responsive and rebounds quickly to get maximum action out of slow fall style jigs, so your jig does exactly what you intend it to down there. Premium Fuji components back it up and the parabolic bend keeps you comfortable and in control even under heavy drag. This S60-3 model is rated PE 3 with a 80-220g lure range.
