Lifting power in a light jigging outfit
A neat saltwater slow jig set-up, the Daiwa Saltist X 150 TD Saltwater Slow Jig Combo 6ft 6in 20-30lb matches the aluminium-framed Saltist X 150 baitcaster with the 6ft 6in, 1-piece Daiwa 20 TD Saltwater BJ66-2.5 overhead slow jig rod rated PE1-2.5 for jigs of 90-180g. Braiding X in the butt section adds stiffness without bulk, so you get lifting power without carrying extra weight around all day. Improved lifting power and strength where it counts.
The Reel
The Daiwa Saltist X 150 Baitcaster Reel is built for anglers after a small sized baitcaster that suits the harsh saltwater environment. It has a solid aluminium frame and gear side-plate along with Daiwa's advanced Digigear II gear design and the Air Rotation system. The UTD drag system generates heavy drag pressure while keeping line release silky smooth, and the extra-long power handle with EVA knob provides cranking power, balance and control. Ideal for light jigging applications.
The Rod
The heavy-tackle Daiwa 20 TD Saltwater BJ66-2.5 Overhead Slow Jig Rod was developed to meet the demand for high-quality saltwater rods. It starts with Daiwa's BRAIDING-X graphite technology, a graphite tape applied to the butt section of the blank that adds stiffness and rigidity without the extra weight and diameter of another full layer of HSD graphite cloth. Fuji Corrosion Control 'O' ring guides handle the salt, and slimline two-tone EVA grips finish it off.
