Mid-weight slow jigging with the counter on board
The compact option in the Tierra range, the Daiwa Tierra 200H Demon Blood Acid Wrap Slow Jig Combo 6ft 30-40lb pairs the Tierra LJ IC 200H - with power handle and IC depth counter - with the 6ft, 1-piece Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Acid Wrap B60-3 overhead rod rated PE3 for jigs of 80-220g. A 370g full-metal reel on a slim solid blank makes for a nicely balanced one-pitch outfit. Focus on fishing, not on adjusting the drag.
The Reel
The Daiwa 23 Tierra LJ IC 200H Deluxe Slow Jigging Reel is a high-performance jigging reel built for serious anglers. With 10kg of maximum drag - the strongest in its class - it has the hoisting power for heavy jigs. The built-in IC counter, ATD, Electronic Drag Sound and Synchro Level-Wind give you effortless control and precise line tracking, while Daiwa's Hyperdrive Design and full-metal Hyper-Armed housing keep it smooth and durable season after season. The electronic drag sound removes the mechanical click, so the drag keeps its full 10kg of power with less line wear.
The Rod
The Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Acid Wrap OH Slow Jig Rod is crafted around a 24-ton solid carbon blank wrapped with 30-ton graphite cloth, reinforcing the blank and creating the action you want for slow jigging. The solid blank is responsive and rebounds quickly to get maximum action out of slow fall style jigs, so your jig performs exactly as intended. The acid wrap guide layout keeps the blank tracking true under load, premium Fuji components handle the rest, and the parabolic bend keeps you comfortable even on heavy drag. This B60-3 model is rated PE 3 for jigs of 80-220g.
