Conquer the reef
The PENN Fathom II 80 2-Speed Deep Drop Game Combo is the perfect match for you to win the battle over saltwater species. The reel is highly regarded for its power and robust drag system for lifting heavy fish. The rod keeps your line running smooth under heavy drag. Grab yours so you can dominate the deep even in harsh and testing conditions.
The Reel
The PENN Fathom II 80 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel is the ultimate workhorse for anglers who demand reliability when battling trophy-sized fish. Engineered with a one-piece aluminium frame and sideplates, this reel provides the exceptional structural rigidity needed to handle the intense pressures of heavy-duty saltwater game fishing. Its compact design feels great in the hand, while the stainless steel main and pinion gears ensure you've got the internal durability to stand up to the most stubborn catch.
When you're out on the water, you need gear that reacts as fast as you do. The Quick-Shift II 2-speed system lets you drop into low gear instantly to winch fish from the depths, while the 22.7kg (maximum) drag, managed by the smooth Dura-Drag system, ensures there's no hesitation during the fight. The Pull-to-Turn preset knob eliminates accidental changes to the drag, allowing you to truly set it, and forget it. Featuring line capacity rings for easy depth awareness and a 5-bearing system for ultra-smooth operation, the PENN Fathom II 80 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel is a must-have for your next big offshore mission. Grab yours today!
The Rod
Built off a sturdy composite blank featuring PENN’s SLS graphite, the PENN Fathom Deep Drop Game Rod pairs perfectly with the Fathom Electric reel series. It features a sturdy PENN aluminium bent butt. It's designed to be fished from a rod holder with dual aluminium lock rings, keeping your reel secure.
A bulletproof guide system featuring heavy-duty SeaGuide components and a PacBay swivel roller tip keeps your line running smooth under heavy drag. This minimises wear and prevents chafing when fighting big fish. From strength to reliability, the PENN Fathom Deep Drop Game Rod is purpose-built for the deep.
