Sealed, brass-geared and ready for the drop
A mid-size slow jigging outfit, the Penn Slammer 4500 Demon Blood Boat / Slow Jigging Combo 6ft 40lb matches the IPX6 sealed Slammer IV 4500 with the 6ft, 1-piece Daiwa Demon Blood Solid S60-3 slow jig rod rated PE3 for jigs of 80-220g. A fast 6.2:1 retrieve and 13.6kg of Dura-Drag give you plenty to work with on the lift. Dependable performance, fight after fight.
The Reel
Built for those who expect a reel that can handle the stress of hard-pulling fish, the PENN Slammer IV 4500 Spinning Reel is packed with more features than ever. It builds off PENN's proven IPX6 sealed body and spool with a redesigned drag system that is better sealed, offers a wider range of usable drag and is bearing supported for extra smoothness. All brass CNC gear technology, an 8+1 stainless steel bearing system and the Hydrophobic Line Roller Bearing round out the ultimate workhorse reel.
The Rod
The Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Spinning Slow Jig Rod is crafted around a 24-ton solid carbon blank wrapped with 30-ton graphite cloth, reinforcing the blank and creating the action you want for slow jigging. The solid blank is responsive and rebounds quickly to get maximum action out of slow fall style jigs, so your jig does exactly what you intend it to down there. Premium Fuji components back it up and the parabolic bend keeps you comfortable and in control even under heavy drag. This S60-3 model is rated PE 3 with a 80-220g lure range.
