Building off PENN's proven IPX6 sealed body and spool, the drag system is better sealed and offers a wider range of usable drag, all while being bearing supported for extra smoothness. Add PENN's all brass CNC gear technology, an 8+1 stainless steel bearing system and the Hydrophobic Line Roller Bearing, and you have the ultimate workhorse reel.
The Rod
The PENN Battalion Solid Spin Jig Rod is designed to give you perfect control over your jig so you can tame the toughest species. Its Solid Spiral Armour technology creates a solid carbon blank that is 100% stronger than conventional carbon blanks while keeping a thin diameter for great sensitivity, so you feel the smallest bites. Fuji Alconite guides keep it light and the high density EVA grips stay comfortable through long, hard fights. This PE3-5 model handles jigs to 300g.
