A premium softbait pairing
For technical inshore softbaiting, the Okuma Inspira ISX30R Regiment Black Ops Soft Bait Combo 7ft 2in 4-8kg brings together the carbon-bodied Inspira Red 30 and PENN's 7ft 2in, 4-8kg Regiment Black Ops II on an SLS graphite blank. Sensitive enough to feel the lightest take, with the pulling power to turn a good Snapper.
The Reel
The Okuma Inspira Red 30 Spinning Reel blends advanced materials with proven Okuma technologies to create a lightweight, durable reel built for long days on the water. The body and rotor are built from long-strand C-40X carbon fibre - 25% lighter and 50% stronger than standard graphite - with Torsion Control Armour to keep internal components aligned under load. A heavily ported Cyclonic Flow Rotor helps dry out moisture and reduce corrosion, and the Centrifugal Disc Bail gives smooth, balanced bail operation with fewer moving parts. At just 213g, it's ideal for soft baiting, slow jigging or squid fishing all day without fatigue.
The Rod
The new PENN Regiment Black Ops II Medium Spinning Soft Bait Rod features technique-specific action, improved taper and a slick paint job. Ideal for soft baiting or jigging, it's built on PENN's SLS Construction graphite blank to deliver the sensitivity required for technical inshore fishing along with serious pulling power. Proven Fuji K guides with Alconite inserts feature a tapered frame to decrease wind knots and braid wrap, and a lightweight Fuji graphite reel seat provides superior sensitivity and strength.
