The Reel
Nimble, agile and simply a ton of fun to fish, the Okuma Cortez CZ-5CS Star Drag Overhead Reel brings light tackle performance to a whole new level. A drop-down gearbox, swept handle and Ergo grip handle knob accentuate balance and the delivery of power from the XL gearing, red anodised machined aluminium spool and multi-disc Carbonite drag system. Graphite frame and side plates maintain a feather light feel while increasing corrosion resistance, and casting is governed by an externally adjustable magnetic cast control system.
The Rod
Proudly designed in New Zealand, the new and improved Okuma Tournament Concept X 702ML Overhead Rod features a sleek silver fern pattern over a green blank. Patented Unidirectional Fibre Reinforcement technology puts significantly increased strength and power into the tip section, with lifting power up to four times that of conventional graphite rods. It is now equipped with the innovative "S" Joint Technology, so the two-piece blank connects and disconnects effortlessly.
