Tough as nails, from the reel up
When you want reach as well as grunt, the Penn Senator 112H2 Ugly Stik Black Tiger Overhead Boat Combo 7ft 25kg pairs the Senator Special 112H2 star drag reel with the 7ft, 2-piece Ugly Stik Black Tiger Heavy Duty overhead rod rated 5-25kg. The extra length helps with straylining and keeping big fish away from the boat, and the Fuji guides handle super braid without fuss. Take on the big ones and fish with confidence.
The Reel
Trusted by anglers for generations, the PENN Senator Special 112H2 High Speed Star Drag Overhead Reel delivers proven performance and durability for inshore, offshore and deep sea fishing. It is built for tough boat conditions with a machined and anodised aluminium spool, Bakelite side plates reinforced with stainless steel rings and a marine-grade bronze main gear. The optimised gear ratio balances torque for hauling fish with high speed retrieval, while HT-100 drag washers keep the drag smooth and consistent under heavy loads.
The Rod
Feel the power of a near unbreakable rod with the Ugly Stik Black Tiger Heavy Duty Overhead Rod. It is made on powerful, fast taper Ugly Stik blanks for line classes up to a brutal 5-25kg, with blank-through-handle construction for added strength and sensitivity, Fuji guides and components that suit super braid lines, and over and underbound wrapped guides for durability. It is also fully coated with epoxy for extra protection against UV rays.
