Smooth drag meets a sensitive blank
For technical softbaiting, the Penn Passion 3000 Regiment Black Ops Soft Bait Combo 7ft 2in 4-8kg 2pc matches the PENN Passion 3000 with the 7ft 2in, 4-8kg Regiment Black Ops II. The SLS graphite blank transmits every tap, and the HT-100 drag stays smooth when a good fish takes off. A great combo for the inshore reefs and channels.
The Reel
The PENN Passion 3000 Ladies Softbait Spinning Reel features a full metal body for strength combined with an RR30 rotor to reduce weight. A 5+1 stainless steel bearing system and PENN's proven HT-100 drag provide smooth operation during the cast, the retrieve and while fighting fish. Plus, the Superline Spool eliminates the need for backing thanks to a rubber gasket that keeps braid from slipping.
The Rod
The new PENN Regiment Black Ops II Medium Spinning Soft Bait Rod features technique-specific action, improved taper and a slick paint job. Ideal for soft baiting or jigging, it's built on PENN's SLS Construction graphite blank to deliver the sensitivity required for technical inshore fishing along with serious pulling power. Proven Fuji K guides with Alconite inserts feature a tapered frame to decrease wind knots and braid wrap, and a lightweight Fuji graphite reel seat provides superior sensitivity and strength.
