A softbait outfit with a full metal heart
The Penn Slammer 260 Squadron Softbait Combo 7ft 2in 10-30lb 2pc matches the full metal body Slammer 260 with the 7ft 2in, 2-piece PENN Squadron soft bait rod rated 10-30lb. The rod's modified, parabolic action forgives a lunging fish at the boat while the oversized HT-100 drag does the stopping. Built for serious action.
The Reel
Built with PENN's exclusive Leveline wrap system, the PENN Slammer 260 Spinning Reel puts out superb performance and long casts with very little effort, and an oversized HT-100 drag washer gives it strong drag with flawless transitions. A special high-strength aluminium alloy houses the powerful gearing, and the main spool shaft is oversized and triple supported through the frame so alignment and balance hold up under the most intense pressure. Computer modelling fine-tuned the balance, and the result is one of the most durable, long-lasting spinning reels going.
The Rod
The PENN Squadron Spinning Soft Bait Rod is a durable and versatile inshore rod, built on a lightweight graphite composite blank with modified actions for a more parabolic, forgiving bend. Virtually indestructible one-piece stainless steel Dura-Guides shrug off the salt, a graphite reel seat locks the reel in place and 270mm of cork gives it a traditional style and feel in the hand.
