A flagship trout weapon with a rocket on the reel seat
The Abu Garcia Revo Rocket 3000S Kotare Canal Fishing Combo 7ft 9in 2pc matches the Revo SP Rocket 3000S with the 7ft 9in, 2-piece Okuma Kotare canal spin rod rated 3-10g. Built by avid kiwi freshwater anglers, the 46T carbon Kotare casts small softbaits and lures a long way and picks up the subtlest hit on the drop, and the reel's 115cm per turn keeps you in touch all the way back. Guaranteed to impress.
The Reel
The Abu Garcia Revo SP Rocket 3000S Spinning Reel is designed for anglers who demand speed and pinpoint control. An ultra-fast 7.6:1 gear ratio and a phenomenal 115cm of line retrieve per turn let you work lures with incredible action, pick up slack quickly and keep constant pressure on hard-fighting kahawai, snapper or trevally. A lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium body and 10+1 HPCR bearings keep things silky smooth, while the compact asymmetric body balances well in the hand and reduces fatigue over a long session. Hook a solid fish and the 5kg Carbon Matrix drag delivers precise, consistent stopping power, and the Rocket Line Management System maximises casting distance while cutting out frustrating wind knots.
The Rod
The Okuma Kotare Canal Spin Rod is made from the highest modulus carbon combined with the best components for a lighter, stronger and more responsive rod. Its 46T carbon construction is coupled with Okuma's patented UMR (Ultimate Matrix Reinforcement) technology to maintain high sensitivity without compromising durability, reinforcing the blank while minimising weight. A minimalist carbon foregrip and reel seat and the highest quality SIC guides keep it incredibly light and responsive, and the super-fast action means you're always in touch with your lure. There's still an incredible amount of backbone for turning fish away from structure and keeping break-offs to a minimum.
