The Reel
The Daiwa Crossfire LT 2500 Spinning Reel is the perfect companion for Kiwi anglers looking for a reliable, all-round workhorse. Built on Daiwa's signature LT (Light and Tough) concept, this reel strips away unnecessary weight while maintaining the rugged durability needed for NZ conditions. Whether you're flicking soft baits for snapper or targeting trout in the backcountry, the compact, lightweight design ensures you can fish all day without fatigue.
The Rod
The new Daiwa Legalis II 710TULFS-NZ Telescopic Spin Rod delivers high-end innovation and performance right into your hands. It's the ideal travel canal spinning rod for Trout and Salmon, or a light soft bait / lure rod in salt water. The secret behind its crisp action and responsiveness lies in a lightweight graphite blank, supercharged with Daiwa's Braiding X technology. This innovation increases wall strength and drastically reduces blank twist, meaning more power goes directly to fighting the fish, with less fatigue for you.
The Braid
With bragging rights on the line, there's no margin for compromise. Daiwa X4 J-Braid Yellow 135m 8lb from Daiwa is made in Japan, soft, supple, strong, and perfectly suited for spin and baitcaster reels. Daiwa's new, super high visibility Daiwa X4 J-Braid Yellow 135m 8lb is ideal for the full spectrum of lure casting applications - from light tackle soft plastics through to shore, game, rock, and beach fishing.
