Shore game and kahawai on spin
The 23 Legalis LT4000D-C(U) / Legalis II 862MHFS + X4 135m 20lb pairs the Legalis LT 4000D-C, with 12kg of drag and PE2/300m capacity, with an 8ft 6in, 2-piece Legalis II spin rod rated 5-10kg and a 30-80g cast weight. It comes with 135m of yellow 20lb X4 J-Braid for casting lures off the shore.
The Reel
Sporting a new look, the Daiwa 23 Legalis LT 4000D-C Spinning Reel's AIRDRIVE rotor and bail arm reduce the weight of each respective part, combining to greatly reduce the start-up inertia, producing that sought-after buttery-smooth rotation anglers crave. A Zaion V composite body is impervious to the harsh saltwater elements and produces a rigid and sturdy frame to house the Tough Digigear drive system.
The Rod
The new Daiwa Legalis II 862MHFS-NZ Spinning Rod delivers high-end innovation and performance right into your hands. Perfect for targeting a wide range of New Zealand's inshore species like Snapper, Kahawai and even smaller Kingfish, it's built to stand up to any challenge. The secret behind its crisp action and responsiveness lies in a lightweight graphite blank, supercharged with Daiwa's Braiding X technology.
The Braid
Whether you're an 'Urban Warrior', or your battleground is the big blue. It's just you against the fish - with bragging rights on the line, there's no margin for compromise. Introducing J-Braid 4 from Daiwa. Made in Japan. Soft. Supple. Strong. Perfectly suited for spin and baitcaster reels, Daiwa's new, super high visibility J-Braid 4 is ideal for the full spectrum of lure casting applications - from light tackle soft plastics through to Shoregame rock and beach fishing.
