For the fisho who likes to travel light, the Daiwa Crosscast 45 Telecscopic Travel Surf Combo 14ft 12kg matches the 45mm long-stroke Crosscast 45 SCW 5000 with the 14ft Daiwa Sensor Wave telescopic travel surf rod rated 8-12kg. The rod collapses down for the boot of the car or the back of the camper, and the long-stroke spool still puts a bait out over untouched water. Compact for travel without compromising on performance.
The Reel
The Daiwa Crosscast 45 SCW 5000 Surfcasting Reel is a 45mm stroke long-distance reel designed to maximise distance and gain access to untouched water from the shore. It all revolves around the long-stroke spool with its 2-degree front-facing taper, which lets line fly off with ease and minimises changes in direction as it leaves the spool. Daiwa's Slow Cross Wrap oscillation system packs the line evenly up and down the spool for improved casting distance across the board, while a sturdy carbon composite body houses a DIGIGEAR II drive that is both smooth and strong.
The Rod
The Daiwa Sensor Wave Telescopic Travel Surf Rod combines powerful casting, legendary durability and effortless portability for serious surf and rock anglers. An HSD Graphite blank keeps it surprisingly light yet powerful, and Daiwa's Braiding X technology virtually eliminates blank twist and distortion for greater casting distance and hoop strength when you're on a solid fish. Fuji stainless steel and Fazlite guides shrug off the salt, ergonomic EVA grips keep handling comfortable when conditions get gnarly, and the telescopic design stows away easily.
