2-speed power for deep drop fishing
For deep drop and heavy bottom fishing, the Shimano Talica 50 II 2-Speed Status Blue Water Bent Butt Game Rod 24-37kg matches Shimano's 25 Talica 50IIA 2-speed with the Status Blue Water Bent Butt Deep Drop rod rated 50-80lb. The bent butt lowers your centre of gravity for comfort under load, and up to 30kg of drag pulls hard from the depths. Built for the deep.
The Reel
The Talica A raises the benchmark for compact lever-drag reels with ultra-smooth winding and powerful drag performance. Featuring a completely re-designed Infinity Drive drag system the new Shimano 25 Talica 50IIA 2-Speed Game Reel is capable of producing increased drag force with reduced side load pressure, this results in smooth and consistent line release while facilitating up to 30% lighter handle rotation in high-load situations. Improving on the S-Compact body design of the previous generation, the side-plate of the Talica 50IIA is 6% smaller while its rigid aluminium Hagane construction reduces overall weight and eliminates body-flex under load to provide optimal power transfer and reeling efficiency.
The Rod
A combination of the Status Bent Butt and the classic Tiagra rod, the Shimano Status Blue Water Bent Butt Deep Drop Game Rod is built to tackle the most dynamic offshore and inshore sportfishing situations found throughout NZ's surrounding oceans. Featuring robust E-Glass/carbon construction, this rod has extreme strength whilst maintaining a comfortable feel, making it perfect for fishing using electric reels, and both Tiagra and Talica reels.
