Take your long-range game to the next level
The Shimano Plays 4000A Blackout Electric Drone Combo is the powerhouse rig you need when targeting trophy fish from the rocks or via drone. This setup pairs the heavy-duty, low-profile Shimano Plays 4000A electric reel with the specialised Blackout 8ft rod, creating a lethal combination that delivers serious lifting power while remaining surprisingly easy to handle. Whether you're running heavy baits out to the horizon or battling a stubborn Kingfish away from the reef, this combo ensures you have the grunt and the control to get the job done.
The Reel
The Shimano Plays 4000A Electric Reel is poised to be the new basic of powerful electric reels, with a body that is redesigned to be low profile, enabling the user to control with a single hand. The thumb rest clutch and quick return clutch further enhance your reel handling while the MUTEKI motor greatly increases the power and speed. A smoother and stronger drag is achieved with carbon cloth washer and the newly added function instant stop allows the angler to instantly stop retrieving with just a press of a button. The Plays 4000A has all the quality you expect from top brand Shimano!
HAGANE Body
HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing on the reel while fighting fish. The result transforms the angler’s actions directly into cranking power.
Raku Raku Fixed Speed Mode
Raku Raku Mode: Winding with constant tension to match the load on the reel. It is effective when anglers use thin line, targeting fish with soft mouths or eat upward. Fixed Speed Mode maintains and winds a constant speed regardless of the magnitude of the load applied to the reel.
The Rod
The Shimano Blackout Overhead Land Based Game / Drone Rod is engineered for the angler who demands uncompromising strength when targeting trophy fish from the rocks or via drone. Built with Shimano's innovative T45 carbon blank technology, this rod uses a unique multi-directional graphite weave to provide incredible lifting power and structural integrity. Despite its heavy-duty 50-80lb rating, the blank remains remarkably lightweight and sensitive, ensuring you feel every movement while maintaining the grunt needed to turn a big Kingfish away from the reef.
This rod is also packed with premium components designed to handle our harsh coastal environment. High-quality Fuji Alconite guides ensure smooth heat dissipation, which is essential when running heavy braided lines, while the secure, soft-touch Fuji reel seat keeps your reel locked tight during intense battles. The addition of custom Winn grips provides superior wet-weather traction and helps reduce hand fatigue during long, drawn-out fights. Finished in a glare-reducing matte black to avoid spooking fish in clear water, the Shimano Blackout Overhead Land Based Game / Drone Rod is a must-have tool for serious land-based hunters looking to level up their game. Grab yours today and get sorted for your next mission.
