A lightweight setup for freshwater lure fishing
The Shimano Sahara SH2500FJ Stream Flight Light Spin Combo pairs a 2500-size spinning reel with a 7ft four-piece rod rated for 2-5kg line and 2-12g lures. The Stream Flight features a lightweight 30T carbon blank with V-Mark Titanium guides, while the Sahara SH2500FJ offers smooth winding and a 5.0:1 gear ratio with 9kg maximum drag.
The lightweight setup is suited to freshwater lure and trout fishing, with the four-piece rod making it convenient to transport and store.
The Reel
The Shimano Sahara SH2500FJ Spinning Reel combines HAGANE Gear and X-Ship for smooth winding and efficient power transmission. G-Free Body shifts the centre of gravity closer to the rod, while SilentDrive reduces unnecessary noise and vibration for smoother reel operation. The Propulsion Line Management System supports controlled casting, and the screw-in handle provides a direct connection for winding.
The Rod
The Shimano Stream Flight Light Freshwater Spin Rod is a 7ft four-piece rod suited to freshwater lure fishing and trout fishing. Its lightweight 30T carbon blank provides a crisp, responsive feel for casting and lure control, while V-Mark Titanium guides support smooth line management.
The Shimano reel seat and split cork grips complete the lightweight setup, while the four-piece construction makes the rod convenient to transport and store.
