Reliable performance without breaking the bank
The Shimano Sedona FJ 2500HG Stream Flight Freshwater Spin Combo is the perfect setup for anglers who demand performance without compromise. Whether you're trekking into remote backcountry streams or casting across the canals, this combo delivers unmatched accuracy. The rod features a crisp 30-ton carbon blank that's incredibly sensitive, letting you feel even the shyest takes, while the classic cork grips provide comfort and a sure hold, even in the cold, wet conditions.
The Reel
Shimano's state-of-the art HAGANE Gear technology lies at the heart of the redesigned Shimano 23 Sedona FJ 2500HG Spinning Reel. Incorporating HAGANE cold-forging technology into the Sedona FJ gives it a step up from other reels in its class and provides long-lasting smoothness and durability for assured resilience even after countless battles with your target species. The Sedona FJ series now features Shimano's SilentDrive technology to remove unnecessary noise and vibration while creating a quieter and smoother reeling experience. The enhanced spool design features Propulsion Line Management System for increased casting performance, while G-Free Body technology shifts the reel's centre of gravity closer to the rod for better balance and less fatigue during long days on the water.
HAGANE Body
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing on the reel while fighting a fish. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.
HAGANE Gear
The HAGANE Drive Gear is produced by Shimano's cold forging technology, without the need for additional machining. This delivers long lasting smoothness, strength, lightness and power at the very heart of the reel. Traditional diecast, machined gears are less durable under heavy loads.
Silent Drive
From the fundamental, whole body design to the most intricate parts of the drive train, including the drive gear, wormshaft, wormshaft pin and wormshaft gear, every piece has been carefully reviewed, and the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.
G Free Body
G Free Body technology has been developed to shift the reel's centre of gravity closer to the rod. By moving the centre of gravity closer to your hand position, the G Free Body helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.
Propulsion Line Management System
New Propulsion spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast which means less slap on the stripper guide.
The Rod
Built from the ground up to set a new standard in freshwater lure rods, the Shimano Stream Flight Medium Light Freshwater Spin Rod delivers unmatched casting precision and feel; putting your lure exactly where you want it, every time. Crafted with an ultra-lightweight, crisp 30-ton carbon blank and fitted with premium components including V-Mark Titanium guides, Shimano reel seats, and classic cork grips, this rod offers incredible performance and value.
With purpose-tuned actions for every style of Trout fishing - whether you're hiking into remote backcountry streams, casting long into fast-flowing rivers, egg rolling in the canals, or jigging deep lakes - there’s a Shimano Stream Flight Freshwater Rod ready for the job. Engineered for accuracy. Designed for adventure.
