The perfect balance of comfort and control

The Shimano Sedona FJ 2500HG Stream Flight Light Spin Combo is the perfect companion for anglers who demand precision and reliability in the wild. Whether you're stalking backcountry streams, working fast-flowing rivers or jigging in deep lakes, this combo offers a crisp, responsive feel thanks to the ultra-lightweight 30T carbon blank. The 4-piece travel design makes it effortless to pack up and carry into remote locations, ensuring you’re always ready to chase that trophy trout without being weighed down by heavy gear.

The Reel
Shimano's state-of-the art HAGANE Gear technology lies at the heart of the redesigned Shimano 23 Sedona FJ 2500HG Spinning Reel. Incorporating HAGANE cold-forging technology into the Sedona FJ gives it a step up from other reels in its class and provides long-lasting smoothness and durability for assured resilience even after countless battles with your target species. The Sedona FJ series now features Shimano's SilentDrive technology to remove unnecessary noise and vibration while creating a quieter and smoother reeling experience. The enhanced spool design features Propulsion Line Management System for increased casting performance, while G-Free Body technology shifts the reel's centre of gravity closer to the rod for better balance and less fatigue during long days on the water.

HAGANE Body
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing on the reel while fighting a fish. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.

HAGANE Gear
The HAGANE Drive Gear is produced by Shimano's cold forging technology, without the need for additional machining. This delivers long lasting smoothness, strength, lightness and power at the very heart of the reel. Traditional diecast, machined gears are less durable under heavy loads.

Silent Drive
From the fundamental, whole body design to the most intricate parts of the drive train, including the drive gear, wormshaft, wormshaft pin and wormshaft gear, every piece has been carefully reviewed, and the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.

G Free Body
G Free Body technology has been developed to shift the reel's centre of gravity closer to the rod. By moving the centre of gravity closer to your hand position, the G Free Body helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.

Propulsion Line Management System
New Propulsion spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast which means less slap on the stripper guide.

The Rod
Built for freshwater lure fishing, the Shimano Stream Flight Light Freshwater Spin Rod combines precise casting and responsive feel with an ultra-lightweight, crisp 30T carbon blank. It features V-Mark Titanium guides, a Shimano reel seat and classic cork grips for a responsive setup suited to a range of trout fishing applications.

With purpose-tuned actions for different trout fishing styles, the Stream Flight range suits everything from backcountry streams and fast-flowing rivers to egg rolling in canals and jigging in deeper lakes.
