The all-new Shimano Talica II 25A 2-Speed Lever Drag Game Reel raises the bar even further as Shimano’s flagship reel with ultra-smooth reeling and powerful drag performance to conquer long, grueling battles with trophy game fish. The addition of Shimano's innovative Infinity Drive technology leverages a new drag design to increase drag force while reducing side-load pressure to produce up to 30% lighter rotation during tough battles and high-drag situations.
This new generation of Talica now features X-Protect technology to boast high-level water resistance in vital areas to improve durability without sacrificing a light gear feel. The included Light-Line Drag Cam provides added versatility with a lower drag curve for anglers fishing monofilament or lighter fluorocarbon leaders. The HAGANE Body is made of highly-rigid aluminum to reduce the reel's overall weight while eliminating reel body flex, warp, and distortion to allow for smooth reeling with minimal power loss during challenging battles.
HAGANE Body
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing on the reel while fighting a fish. The result transforms the angler’s actions directly into cranking power.
Infinity Drive
Infinity Drive for lever drag reel leverages a new drag design to increase drag force while reducing side-load pressure to produce lighter rotation during high-drag situations.
X Protect
X Protect provides high-level water resistance to the inside bearing of the drive gear shaft with waterproof construction.
S-Compact Body
‘S-Compact Body provides the comfortable palming body by making the palming side plate smaller than the handle side plate.
Cross Carbon Drag
The Cross Carbon Drag provides the smooth drag release and the durability.
S A-RB Bearings
S A-RB Bearings are put through the same process as Shimano’s A-RB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. These shields reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the rotation of the bearing.
