A super light pairing for vertical jigging
Made for fishos who jig light lures on light gear, the Shimano Grappler BB 150HG Demon Blood Acid Wrap Slow Jig Combo 6ft 20lb matches the 210g low-profile Grappler BB 150HG baitcaster with the 6ft, 1-piece Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Acid Wrap B60-2 overhead rod rated PE2 for jigs of 50-150g. The compact Hagane body balances a slim jig rod beautifully, and the 60mm power handle keeps the winding torque there. A super light combination that reduces fatigue over a long session.
The Reel
The Shimano Grappler BB 150HG Baitcaster Reel is a low-profile reel specially engineered for light saltwater jigging, and it is great in deep freshwater situations too. The tough, lightweight Hagane body is more compact than traditional jigging reels, and it is fitted with a single 60mm power handle for increased winding torque, a reliable star drag and X-Protect water resistance. Level-wind interlocking releases line straight so the lure falls smoothly, while Cross Carbon Drag and S A-RB bearings keep everything running smooth in the salt.
The Rod
The Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Acid Wrap OH Slow Jig Rod is crafted around a 24-ton solid carbon blank wrapped with 30-ton graphite cloth, reinforcing the blank and creating the action you want for slow jigging. The solid blank is responsive and rebounds quickly to get maximum action out of slow fall style jigs, so your jig performs exactly as intended. The acid wrap guide layout keeps the blank tracking true under load, premium Fuji components handle the rest, and the parabolic bend keeps you comfortable even on heavy drag. This B60-2 model is rated PE 2 for jigs of 50-150g.
