Get the kids hooked on fishing
Perfect for little fishos, the Shimano IX4000 Kidstix Kids Combo incl Line Green 6ft 5kg teams the simple rear drag IX 4000 reel, pre-spooled with line, with a green Kidstix rod and its tough fibreglass blank. At 6ft in two pieces, it's an easy size for young anglers to handle. They will love it.
The Reel
Ideal for beginners and young anglers, the Shimano IX 4000 Spinning Reel is a great rear drag spin reel for anyone who's just starting out in fishing. It features an easy-to-use rear drag system and a Quick Fire II casting system, which means that to cast, all you need to do is reverse spin the handle, pull the Quick Fire lever and fire out that lure or bait. Plus it comes pre-spooled with line. So whether you're a beginner or you want to trigger your kids' interest in fishing, start right with the Shimano IX 4000 Spinning Reel.
The Rod
The junior anglers of today are the grownup anglers of tomorrow, so the Shimano Kidstix Green Spinning Rod is the perfect way to kick-start your child's fishing career. It will catch them fish, but more importantly it's designed specifically to handle the rigours and bumps that kids regularly subject it to. Gone are the days of "dad" being the fisho in the house and mum and the kids staying at home. Fishing has become a family pastime, so make sure you grab the Kidstix rod for your kids.
