Versatile all-rounder for boat fishing
The Shimano Corvalus 400 Spectrum Plus Boat Combo combines the Shimano Corvalus 400 overhead reel with a 6ft one-piece Spectrum Plus Boat Rod rated for 8-12kg line. The Corvalus 400 features a 5.2:1 gear ratio, 5kg maximum drag and 56cm retrieve per crank, while the Spectrum Plus rod uses a fibreglass construction with an inserted glass tip for added sensitivity.
The one-piece rod features ceramic guides and full-length EVA grips, making the combo suited to a range of boat fishing applications.
The Reel
The Shimano Corvalus 400 Overhead Reel features a diecast aluminium frame, sideplates and spool, with three A-RB bearings and one stainless steel roller bearing. The Variable Brake System (VBS) uses centrifugal braking to help control spool speed during casting, while the non-disengaging levelwind system helps distribute line across the spool.
The 5.2:1 gear ratio and 56cm retrieve per crank suit a range of boat fishing applications.
The Rod
The Shimano Spectrum Plus Boat Rod features a fibreglass construction with an inserted glass tip for added sensitivity. Ceramic guides provide reliable line management, while the full-length EVA grips provide a comfortable hold.
The 6ft one-piece rod is rated for 8-12kg line and is suited to a range of boat fishing applications.
