The Reel
The Shimano Baitrunner 6000 OC Reel builds on the trusted Baitrunner design with smart upgrades for Kiwi anglers. Perfect for both freshwater and saltwater applications, it delivers smooth, controlled freespool action with a robust 3+1 bearing system.
Key features include a replaceable spool clicker, Varispeed oscillation for even line lay with braid, and Propulsion Line Management for longer, more accurate casts. The cold-forged aluminium spool adds strength and durability, while Fluidrive II gearing ensures a smooth, powerful retrieve with less effort.
The Rod
The Shimano Extraction Spinning Rod handles jigging, casting, and topwater fishing with ease. Its T45 carbon blank is built with carbon tape wrapped at a 45° angle for added strength, giving a light, sensitive tip for precise lure control and a lower blank that delivers power and durability for high-drag situations and heavy fish.
It features premium Fuji SiC guides, a Fuji graphite reel seat, and quality custom components for smooth casting, reliable line flow, and long-lasting performance.
