Premium softbaiting, light in the hand
For anglers who want a premium inshore outfit, the Shimano Miravel 4000 XG Regiment Black Ops Soft Bait Combo 7ft 2in 4-8kg matches the 245g Miravel 4000 XG with PENN's 7ft 2in, 4-8kg Regiment Black Ops II. The XG gearing picks up slack fast between hops, and the SLS graphite blank keeps you in touch with every tap. A sharp setup for Snapper on the shallow reefs.
The Reel
Building on the foundations of Nasci FC, the new Shimano Miravel 4000 XG Spinning Reel utilises a CI4+ body and sideplate for significant weight reductions. Cold-forged HAGANE Gear reel technology provides unparalleled gear durability. With premium performance at the forefront of design, Miravel features Silent Drive - the same technology found in Shimano's flagship Stella range. This technology translates into smoother operation due to finer gear tolerances, less vibration and improved longevity. Purpose-built for finesse fishing in both freshwater and inshore saltwater environments, Shimano Miravel 4000 XG Spinning Reel is backed by CoreProtect water repellent technology which increases durability and water resistance without creating a heavy winding feeling. Additionally, a screw in handle design has been adopted for added strength and convenience.
The Rod
The new PENN Regiment Black Ops II Medium Spinning Soft Bait Rod features technique-specific action, improved taper and a slick paint job. Ideal for soft baiting or jigging, it's built on PENN's SLS Construction graphite blank to deliver the sensitivity required for technical inshore fishing along with serious pulling power. Proven Fuji K guides with Alconite inserts feature a tapered frame to decrease wind knots and braid wrap, and a lightweight Fuji graphite reel seat provides superior sensitivity and strength.
