Packs down for the trip
Made for the travelling angler, the Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Legalis Travel / Canal Spin Combo 4kg 4pc teams the Sienna 4000 FG with a 4-piece, 7ft Daiwa Legalis rated 2-4kg. It packs into a car boot or backpack for trips to the canals, lakes and rivers, and the reel's Propulsion line management keeps casts long and tangle-free. Ready when the fish are.
The Reel
The general purpose Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Spinning Reel is designed to cover all manner of light line situations, from bait fishing to soft plastic and hardbody lure casting. So if you're just starting out in fishing or the kids are showing some interest that requires more sophisticated than just a basic handline, the Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Spinning Reel is perfect for you. Finished in a black and red cosmetic, this rod matches great with many of Shimano's fibreglass and graphite rods. Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations it has been determined that this new AR-C spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts with less friction.
The Rod
The Daiwa Legalis Freshwater Travel Spinning Rod brings high-end blank innovation together with value-driven componentry to offer a light tackle rod that punches well above its weight. Highly responsive, its crisp action is achieved through lightweight graphite combined with Braiding X, which increases wall strength and reduces blank twist so a thinner, lighter and more dynamic blank can be made. Quality Fuji stainless steel Concept O guides provide reliable casting and line management, a Daiwa Surround Hold reel seat maximises balance and sensitivity, and high-density EVA split grips bring in-hand comfort and control.
