Overhead performance with value built in
A 7ft one-piece overhead outfit, the Shimano TR 200G Legalis Boat Combo 7ft 10kg pairs the TR200G star drag reel with a Daiwa Legalis boat rod rated to 10kg. It's a light tackle option for trolling, bait fishing and casting that gets the job done.
The Reel
The Shimano TR200G Levelwind Star Drag Reel is one of Shimano's hardest working reels. This corrosion-proof XT7 body, star drag reel has been a solid performer in the offshore fishing scene for many years, and with the advent of braided lines it has found a new lease of life as an excellent braid reel for inshore fishing. Even those with very little fishing experience can fish with confidence with the Shimano TR200G Levelwind Star Drag Reel. It's a perfect reel for trolling, bait fishing over reefs, casting a lure and jig fishing, and its A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) are at least 10 times more corrosion-resistant than standard stainless steel ball bearings.
The Rod
The Daiwa Legalis Overhead Boat Rod brings high-end blank innovation together with value-driven componentry to offer a light tackle rod that delivers great value for money. Highly responsive, the Legalis' crisp action is achieved through a combination of lightweight graphite material and Braiding X, which increases wall strength and reduces blank twist. By preventing the blank from losing its round form, Braiding X allows a thinner blank to be made, and a lighter, more dynamic rod to be created. Quality Fuji stainless steel Concept O guides provide reliable casting performance and effective line management, while a Daiwa Surround Hold reel seat maximises balance and sensitivity and high-density EVA split grips bring in-hand comfort and control.
