A responsive setup for heavier soft bait fishing
The Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Divergex Heavy Soft Bait Spin Combo pairs a 4000-size spinning reel with an 8ft two-piece Heavy rod rated for 5-10kg line and 14-24g lures. The Divergex features a 24T carbon blank with Seaguide Zirconium guides and a Shimano custom reel seat, while the Sienna 4000 FG offers a 5.2:1 gear ratio and 8.5kg maximum drag.
The combo includes 150m of 20lb Shimano Kairiki SX8 Mantis Green braid and is suited to casting and working heavier soft baits and other inshore lures.
The Reel
The Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Spinning Reel features an AR-C Spool Management System designed to support controlled line flow during casting, while Dyna Balance helps reduce rotor wobble during the retrieve. The front drag and 4000 size make it suited to a range of fishing applications.
The Rod
The Shimano Divergex Heavy Soft Bait Spin Rod is an 8ft two-piece rod suited to heavier soft bait fishing and other inshore lure applications. Its 24T carbon blank is paired with Seaguide Zirconium guides and a Shimano custom reel seat, while the full-length EVA butt assembly provides a comfortable hold during casting and lure work.
The Line
The Shimano Kairiki SX8 Braid is an eight-strand JDM PE braid with a smooth finish designed to reduce friction through the rod guides during casting. Its reduced stretch supports sensitivity, while Shimano Enhanced Body Treatment (S-EBT) enhances abrasion resistance. This combo includes 150m of 20lb Mantis Green braid.
