The Shimano Baitrunner 12000 OC Aquatip Spinning Combo combines a heavy 15-24kg Aquatip spinning rod with a high-capacity 12000-size Baitrunner reel for targeting larger fish. The 5ft 8in one-piece Aquatip features a fibreglass-integrated blank, sensitive glass tip and Extra-Heavy power rating, while the Baitrunner 12000 OC offers 12kg of maximum drag and PowerPro capacity up to 230yds of 80lb braid. Together, the rod and reel form a heavy spinning setup for larger saltwater fish.
The Reel
The Shimano Baitrunner 12000 OC Spinning Reel features Shimano's Baitrunner system for controlled free-spool operation when fishing with live or baited hooks. Propulsion Line Management System and Varispeed Oscillation support controlled line handling, while the cold-forged aluminium spool, Fluidrive II gearing and Super Stopper II anti-reverse complete the reel's feature set. Its 12000 size, 12kg maximum drag and large line capacity suit heavier saltwater fishing applications.

The Shimano Aquatip Spinning Rod features a fibreglass-integrated blank construction with a sensitive glass tip for improved bite detection. Forward-facing Zirconia guides support smooth line management, while the graphite reel seat and EVA grips provide a secure, comfortable hold during fishing.
