A versatile setup for heavier inshore lure fishing
The Shimano Nasci C5000 XG FD Catana Heavy Inshore Spinning Combo pairs a 5000-size spinning reel with a 7ft Heavy inshore rod rated for 5-10kg line and 14-42g lures. The Catana features a 24T carbon blank for a responsive feel, while the Nasci C5000 XG FD offers smooth winding, a fast 6.2:1 gear ratio and 11kg of maximum drag.
The two-piece setup is suited to casting and working soft baits, metal lures and slow jigs inshore, with full-length EVA grips providing a comfortable hold during lure work.
The Reel
The Shimano Nasci C5000 XG FD Spinning Reel combines HAGANE Gear, X-Ship, InfinityDrive and SilentDrive for smooth winding and efficient power transmission. CoreProtect helps protect the reel from water penetration, while the G-Free Body shifts the centre of gravity closer to the rod. The AR-C Spool supports controlled casting, and Cross Carbon Drag provides smooth drag performance.
The Rod

Its 24T carbon blank provides a responsive feel, while forward-facing Seaguide Aluminium Oxide guides and a Shimano reel seat complete the setup.
