A versatile setup with adjustable rod length
The Shimano Twin Power XD FB 4000XGB Dialuna Inshore Medium Silky Zoom Spin Combo pairs a compact 4000-size spinning reel with a three-piece Medium rod that adjusts from 6ft 6in to 7ft 6in. The Dialuna's Silky Zoom mechanism lets you switch between a shorter length for tighter casting situations and a longer setting for open water lure fishing.
The Twin Power XD offers smooth winding and dependable drag performance, while the Dialuna provides a crisp, responsive feel for casting and working lures. Together, they make a flexible setup for a range of inshore lure fishing applications.
The Reel
The Shimano Twin Power XD FB 4000XGB Spinning Reel combines a lightweight MGL Rotor with a rigid Hagane Body for a compact, responsive setup. Infinity Cross and Infinity Drive support smooth winding and power transmission, while Infinity Loop supports casting performance. X-Protect helps protect key areas from water and foreign matter, while Duracross drag washers provide smooth, durable drag performance. With 11kg of maximum drag and 101cm of retrieve per crank, the 4000XG suits a range of lure fishing applications.
The Rod
The Shimano Dialuna Inshore Medium Silky Zoom Spinning Rod features a 30cm Silky Zoom mechanism that adjusts the rod length from 6ft 6in to 7ft 6in. The shorter setting suits tighter casting situations and close-range lure work, while the extended length provides a longer rod option in open water.
Spiral X and Hi-Power X construction support blank strength and crisp rod control, while the Carbon Monocoque rear grip helps reduce weight and improve sensitivity. The three-piece rod is rated for 7-30g lures and PE 0.8-2 line, making it suited to a range of inshore lure fishing applications.
