A lightweight setup for responsive lure fishing
The Shimano Twin Power XD FB 4000XGB Lunamis Medium Heavy Spin Combo pairs a lightweight 8ft Medium Heavy rod with a compact 4000-size spinning reel for saltwater lure fishing. The Lunamis offers a crisp, responsive feel for casting and working lures, while the Twin Power XD provides smooth winding and dependable drag performance. Together, they make a well-matched setup for targeting a range of inshore fish.
The Reel
The Shimano Twin Power XD FB 4000XGB Spinning Reel combines a lightweight MGL Rotor with a rigid Hagane Body for a compact, responsive setup. Infinity Cross and Infinity Drive support smooth winding and power transmission, while Infinity Loop supports casting performance. X-Protect helps protect key areas from water and foreign matter, while Duracross drag washers provide smooth, durable drag performance. With 11kg of maximum drag and 101cm of retrieve per crank, the 4000XG suits a range of lure fishing applications.
The Rod
The Shimano Lunamis Medium Heavy Spin Rod combines a lightweight build with a crisp, responsive feel for casting and working saltwater lures. Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X construction support blank strength and stability, while the Carbon Monocoque Grip helps reduce weight and improve sensitivity. The edge-shaped grip and Perfection Seat XT provide a comfortable, stable hold during casting and lure work.
Rated for 10-45g lures and PE 1-2.5 main line, the 8ft two-piece rod has a Medium Heavy power rating and a maximum jig weight of 56g. The AeroCoat finish completes the lightweight design, making it suited to a broad range of saltwater lure fishing applications.
