The Shimano Stella SW D 10000 HGD Grappler Type C S82MH Topwater Spin Combo pairs the Stella SW D 10000 HGD spinning reel with the 8ft 2in Grappler Type C S82MH rod and 400m of Shimano Ocea 8 multicolour PE4 braid. Designed for saltwater topwater fishing, the combo brings together a fast-retrieve reel and a rod suited to stickbaits and poppers up to 130g.
The Reel
The Shimano Stella SW D 10000 HGD Spinning Reel combines cold-forged HAGANE Gear with InfinityXross technology to distribute load across the gear teeth for improved durability. InfinityDrive supports winding power, while XX Tough Drag and HeatSink Drag technologies are designed to improve drag durability and manage heat under heavy loads.
InfinityLoop supports an even line lay for improved casting performance, while the Anti-Twist Fin helps manage line during winding. X-Protect and X-Shield provide protection against water intrusion, and SilentDrive supports smooth, quiet reel operation. The 5.6:1 gear ratio and 116cm retrieve per crank suit anglers who need a faster line retrieve when working topwater lures.
The Rod
The Shimano Grappler Type C S82MH Topwater Spin Rod features Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank construction to improve torsional rigidity, reduce blank twist and support crisp casting performance. Its 8ft 2in length suits long-distance casting with stickbaits and poppers, while the two-piece construction makes transport more convenient.
The rod also uses CI4+ material in its construction and has a Medium-Heavy power rating. Rated for PE6 line and lures up to 130g, it is suited to casting larger topwater lures for saltwater game fish.

The Shimano Ocea 8 Jigging Braid Multicolour is a Japanese-made eight-strand braid featuring Tough Cross construction for a tight, stable weave. X-Filament technology supports the braid's construction, while the multicolour pattern helps anglers track line depth.
