The Reel

Borrowing features from mid-range models, such as Super Slow 5 oscillation and Parallel Body design, this tough reel delivers exceptional casting distance - Super Slow 5 wraps line around the spool 55 times per oscillation for a precise, orderly line lay, while the Parallel Body sits the spool in line with the blank so there's less line slap on the way to the first guide. With HAGANE Gear for smooth power and a 20kg max drag, the Beastmaster is large, tough, and a casting beast.
The Rod
Light and sharp - that's the easiest way to describe the Daiwa Laguna X 1303HFS Surf Rod. Daiwa's carbon design lays the fibres longitudinally with minimal resin, then rolls them at extreme temperature and pressure to produce an exceptionally light but super strong blank that's fast and tippy yet folds into an even arch under load. Braiding X adds extra power and strength to the lower section for more casting and fighting power, and it's finished with graphite reel seats, EVA grips and O ring guides.
