The Shimano Big Baitrunner XTB Long Cast Prevail APEX Surf Combo 14ft 6in 10-25kg 3pc brings the big AR-C spool of the Big Baitrunner XTB Long Cast together with the 14ft 6in, 3-piece PENN Prevail APEX rated 10-25kg. Aero Wrap II line lay and X-Ship gearing give you the distance and the winding power, and the long aluminium handle means more torque when a good fish turns side-on. Front and rear drag lets you soak a bait and still lock up.
The Reel
The new and improved Shimano Big Baitrunner XTB Long Cast Surfcasting Reel is fully stocked with the best of Shimano's technologies. A large AR-C spool with slow oscillation and the Aero Wrap II line lay system delivers uniform line lay and maximum casting distance, while X-Ship supports the pinion gear at both ends for smooth power transfer and gear stability. All four shielded A-RB bearings resist salt and sand intrusion, and the redesigned gears minimise friction so the long aluminium handle puts more torque and winding power into playing fish. The big size and its casting performance are ideal for beach work where distance is everything.

Ready for battle, the Prevail name has become synonymous with the go-to rod series for serious rock and beach anglers, and the PENN Prevail APEX Spinning Surf Rod sets a new bar as the most premium surf rod in PENN's range.
