Which couriers do we use?
CourierPost - Standard Items

Standard items within New Zealand are shipped using CourierPost. We love CourierPost. Not only are they real fast but they deliver to PO Boxes. So if you’re not going to be on hand to take delivery and you have a PO Box - we encourage you to use it. We’ve also found CourierPost are brilliant at delivering to the South Island...

When you place your order you have the option of choosing Signature Required so that you can be 100% confident of your delivery. You can also choose to not have Signature Required if you don't want to have to sign for your item.

Once we ship you your order we’ll email you the details so that you’ll be able to see the status of your shipment by using the CourierPost’s Track and Trace facility on-line.

Toll Courier - Dangerous Goods, Bulk and Oversized Items

’Dangerous Goods’ and large items ’Bulk’ or ’Oversize’ are shipped using Toll Courier. Customers in some remote areas across New Zealand will have to collect these items from the nearest depot.

’Dangerous Goods’ include products like paint, CRC, flares and lead acid batteries. Most ’Dangerous Goods’ do not incur an additional shipping charge with the exception of Flares and Lead Acid Batteries - see the table below for charges.

’Bulk’ items include large BBQs, large Smokers, Surf Boards, Kayaks under 4m, Chilly Bins 90 Litres Plus, and Game Poles - see the table below for charges.

’Oversize’ items are very large items i.e. kayaks over 4m - see the table below for charges.

How long does it take for me to receive my items?
Your items are usually shipped within 24 hours of placing your order, and 95% of orders placed before 3pm are shipped the same day. Most orders are received the next day, and addresses in rural areas usually receive their order the day after that.

How much does it cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at check out according to destination country and weight.

Which courier do we use?

We ship to pretty much every country in the world using DHL who are very fast and extremely reliable.

How long does it take for me to receive my items?

Almost all deliveries are received within a week and most orders are received within 4 or 5 days.

Do I have to pay import taxes / duties?

Possibly, depending on the laws of your country. If any duty or import taxes do apply to your order, then DHL will contact you once the order arrives in your country.

Money Back Guarantee

If you change your mind about your purchase, we will be more than happy to offer you an exchange, voucher or refund as long as:

  • You return the product within 28 days of purchase
  • You provide proof of purchase
  • You originally purchased the product with the intention of keeping
  • The item is unused and in it’s original packaging
This does not apply to:
  • perishable goods such as food and bait
  • copyright infringement products such as software & DVDs

Refunds

We can only issue a refund or voucher by request when the item is unused and in its original packaging.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Marine Deals Ltd. In the event that goods sold are deficient or are faulty, the retailer has the right to repair, replace or refund.

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Faulty Products

Where a product is faulty or damaged due to manufacturing faults we will at our discretion, either:

  • repair the product; or
  • replace the product; or
  • give you a full refund.

Returning Items

We do not pay for shipping costs of returning items to our warehouse.

How to make a Warranty Claim

If you wish to return your product or require a replacement then the FASTEST way is to lodge a request. Then just follow the simple instructions to create your product return / replacement request. Once your request is lodged we will check our records and contact you as soon as possible.

We use BNZ and DPS Payment Express to accept Visa, Mastercard & QCard payments. DPS Payment Express is the number one payment gateway in New Zealand so you can be sure your details are kept safe and secure. All payments are in New Zealand dollars. Marine Deals Ltd is a NZ owned business and the name Marine Deals will appear on your cardholder statements for any transactions made through this website.
