Sealed saltwater performance for the slow fall
Built for Shimano's coastline, the Shimano Spheros SW 6000HG Demon Blood Boat / Slow Jigging Combo 6ft 50lb matches the IPX-8 rated Spheros SW 6000 HG A with the 6ft, 1-piece Daiwa Demon Blood Solid S60-4 slow jig rod rated PE4 for jigs of 120-280g. At 450g the reel keeps fatigue down over a long session, and 103cm per crank gets you on top of a fish quickly. Built to keep fishing no matter the conditions.
The Reel
The Shimano Spheros SW 6000 HG A Spinning Reel is engineered from the ground up to thrive in the toughest saltwater environments, packed with advanced Shimano technologies usually found in higher priced reels. X-Shield and X-Protect give it IPX-8 waterproof performance so the internals stay sealed and smooth through spray and waves, while the HAGANE Body and HAGANE Gear provide rigidity and durability for a silky smooth yet powerful retrieve through X-Ship and Infinity Drive. A fast 5.7:1 ratio and 10kg of Cross Carbon drag cover everything from Snapper and Kahawai to decent Kingfish.
The Rod
The Daiwa Demon Blood Solid Spinning Slow Jig Rod is crafted around a 24-ton solid carbon blank wrapped with 30-ton graphite cloth, reinforcing the blank and creating the action you want for slow jigging. The solid blank is responsive and rebounds quickly to get maximum action out of slow fall style jigs, so your jig does exactly what you intend it to down there. Premium Fuji components back it up and the parabolic bend keeps you comfortable and in control even under heavy drag. This S60-4 model is rated PE 4 with a 120-280g lure range.
