A matched setup for heavier soft bait fishing
The Shimano Miravel 4000XG Divergex Heavy Soft Bait Spin Combo combines a lightweight 4000-size spinning reel with a 7ft Heavy soft bait rod and 300m of 20lb braid. The rod is suited to heavier soft baits and other lure presentations, with a 14-42g lure rating and 5-10kg line rating, while the Miravel 4000XG offers 11kg of maximum drag and a fast 6.2:1 gear ratio.
The combo also includes 300m of Shimano Kairiki SX8 8-strand braid in Mantis Green, giving you a complete setup for casting and working heavier inshore lures.
The Reel
The Shimano Miravel 4000XG Spinning Reel combines a lightweight CI4+ body with HAGANE Gear, InfinityDrive and SilentDrive for smooth winding and efficient power transmission. The Magnumlite rotor supports a light, responsive feel, while Cross Carbon Drag provides smooth drag performance. X-Protect helps protect key areas from water penetration, and the Anti-Twist Fin supports controlled line management.
The Rod
The Shimano Divergex Heavy Soft Bait Spin Rod is a 7ft two-piece rod suited to heavier soft bait fishing and other inshore lure applications. Its 24T carbon blank provides a responsive feel, while Seaguide zirconium guides and a Shimano custom reel seat complete the setup. The full-length EVA butt assembly provides a comfortable hold during casting and lure work.
The Line
The Shimano Kairiki SX8 Braid is an eight-strand Japanese-made PE braid with a smooth finish that reduces friction through the rod guides during casting. Its low-stretch construction supports sensitivity, while Shimano Enhanced Body Treatment (S-EBT) enhances abrasion resistance. This combo includes the 20lb Mantis Green version on a 300m spool.
