Ideal for bonding large areas

ADOS Butyl Roofing Adhesive is a high performance roofing contact adhesive. It has been specially developed for bonding butyl rubber sheeting to roofing substrates. Its convenient and economical spraying, combined with its long tack life, make it ideal for bonding large areas.

ADOS Butyl Roofing Adhesive Features:
  • Spray grade - Formulated for optimum performance for spraying
  • Multi purpose uses - Flooring, roofing, etc.
  • Fine glue line - Enhanced finished product appearance

Uses:
  • Used by roofing contractors, carpet installers, motor trimmers, furniture manufacturers etc.
  • Polyurethane foam - metals - ceiling tiles - veneer - bench top laminates - plaster - concrete - fibreglass - particle boards - timber - carpets - cork - plastics - cardboard - fabrics - leather - weather seals - some cloth backed vinyls - butyl rubber - roofing - some rubbers - artificial grass and outdoor carpets - some commercial grade vinyl floorings - sound deadening and thermal insulation materials

ADOS Butyl Roofing Adhesive Specifications:
  • Type: Contact solvent-based
  • Composition: Polychloroprene (Neoprene)
  • Colour: Clear
  • Temperature Range: Up to +93 °C
  • Reactivation: Heat or solvent
  • Viscosity: 130 plus or minus 20 cP @ 25 °C
  • Coverage: 4 - 8m2 per litre bond area
  • Working Time: 15 - 60 minutes
  • Peel Strength (ASTM D903) membrane to plywood: 30-35 N (Butyl)
    7-10 N (EPDM)
  • Thinning: If necessary, use ADOS Solvent N
  • Clean Up: Use ADOS Solvent N for cleaning equipment, brushes, rollers, etc. Use ADOS Solvent PS for removing adhesive from surfaces as it coagulates
