This means fish can run with the bait after picking up the baited hook until the clip strikes a stopper, at which point the clip sets the hook. This action actively sets the hook into the fish's mouth, increasing the chances of a successful hookup. Each clip comes with a barrel swivel to help reduce line twist and tangles.
